Studio Reminders and Offers
We hope that everyone is enjoying the new class times we have added to our schedule! At Pilate-Da we hope to ensure that we meet the needs of all our client’s busy schedules as well as guarantee availability to everyone in our growing studio.

We have a few reminders regarding our scheduling policy that we want to make sure all of our clients are aware of ahead of time!

  • If there is no one signed up for a class an hour before it is scheduled to begin, we will cancel the class at that time so the instructor knows not to come in.
  • If there is only one person signed up for a class an hour before the class is scheduled to begin, that person will be contacted ahead of time to see if they would like to stay signed up and enjoy a discounted private session for $30 dollars.  That is a great deal on an intimate private experience!
  • We require that everyone wear socks in the studio! However, if you forget your socks we offer a great selection of toe socks for you to chose from.  We enforce this policy to maintain a clean and healthy environment for all of our clients!
*We have a special going on for our afternoon class with our wonderful new instructor Nicole! If you are an existing client and you come in to try her 12:00 p.m. class, which we have on Monday’s and Thursday’s, with a new client who purchases a class, you will both receive a second afternoon class for free! Take advantage of this limited time special with a friend and you will not be disappointed!
*WE WANT TO WISH EVERYONE A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING! The studio will be closed on Thanksgiving but will resume classes the following day.
*If you have been sampling our essential oils and have discovered your favorites, let Gerri know! She is a distributor for Young Living and would be more than happy to order them for you.  That way, you can enjoy the benefits anywhere or share them with a friend.  For great discounts, consider becoming a distributor! Ask Gerri about the great offers available and share the health with others.  Also, Holiday gifts from Young Living are available but don’t wait until the last minute to place your orders!
Mini Pecan Pumpkin Pies
These delicious mini pecan pumpkin pies will be a great addition to your Thanksgiving dinner!
Ingredients for the dough:
  • Nonstick Cooking spray
  • 1/4 cup pecans
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus extra for shaping dough
  • 6 tablespoons butter, ice-cold
  • 2 or 3 tablespoons ice water

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 1 egg, plus 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin pie filling
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup pecans, chopped plus 24 halves for garnish
  • Special Equipment: 2 (12 cup) mini muffin tins

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray the bottoms and sides of the mini muffin tins with cooking spray.

2.  For the dough: In a food processor, pulse the pecans, sugar, salt and flour until the nuts are ground and the ingredients are combined.  Add in the butter and pulse until dough resembles coarse meal.  Slowly pour in the ice water through the feed tube until the dough comes together. Remove from processor bowl to a clean work surface sprinkled with flour.

3.  Form the dough into a ball and divide evenly into 24 pieces.  Roll each piece into a ball and evenly press into each cup until the bottom is covered.  If the dough is sticky, dip your finger in flour first.

4.  Bake 15 to 18 minutes, until the crusts are very golden.  Check periodically to make sure they don’t get too brown.

5.  Meanwhile, make the filling:  In a medium bowl, whisk the egg, egg yolk, corn syrup, sugar, pumpkin filling and vanilla.  Stir in the chopped pecans.

6.  Remove the dough from oven and spoon 1 tablespoon of the filling into each cup.  Top each with 1 pecan half.  Return the pans to the oven and continue baking, for 12 to 15 minutes more, until the pumpkin filling is set.  Allow to cool before removing from the pans.
